ROLE OVERVIEW
The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and upkeep of all electrical systems across the CCL plant, with a strong emphasis on PLC-based automation, VFD drives, and industrial control systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
PLC & Automation Systems
- Program, maintain, and troubleshoot PLC systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, or equivalent) used in treater lines, press controls, and utilities
- Develop and modify ladder logic, HMI screens, and SCADA configurations as required
- Manage PLC-to-sensor integration: thermocouples, pressure transducers, encoders, flow meters
Drives & Power Systems
- Maintain, program, and troubleshoot VFDs for motor speed control across all production lines
- Oversee MV/LV electrical distribution: transformers, switchgear, MCCs, and power factor correction
- Conduct electrical preventive maintenance and thermography audits
Automation & Upgrades
- Identify and implement automation improvements to increase line efficiency and reduce manual intervention
- Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and production lines
- Maintain electrical drawings, single line diagrams, and panel documentation
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to electrical safety standards, insulation testing, and permit-to-work systems
- Conduct periodic audits of earthing, cable management, and panel hygiene
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Experience
- 5-10 years in industrial electrical maintenance and automation
- Proven experience with PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA in a process/manufacturing environment
- Experience with VFD commissioning, parameter configuration, and fault diagnosis
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in PLC programming (ladder, function block, or structured text)
- Hands-on expertise with VFD brands: Danfoss, ABB, Siemens, Schneider, or equivalent
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols: Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP
- Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and loop diagrams
Education
- B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering
